Qing Dynasty Yang Pengnian Amantuo Studio Yucheng Kiln Zisha teapot, dimensions 16×5 cm. Crafted from premium raw clear mud, it features a warm, smooth texture with naturally rustic granular patterns and an aged, well-polished surface. This classic Shitou (Stone Gourd) form boasts a simple yet elegant bridge-style lid knob, a short and powerful straight spout, and a wide handle for comfortable grip. The body is gently curved and balanced, exuding a refined, understated charm that aligns with the scholarly aesthetics of the Qing era. The base bears the "Amantuo Studio" seal, while the handle carries Yang Pengnian's signature. An inscription reads: "Made at Sang Lian Li Guan in the ninth month of autumn, Yihai year of Jiaqing, Teapot No. 1790." The carving is neat and sophisticated, reflecting the renowned collaboration between Yang Pengnian and Chen Mansheng, creators of the iconic Mansheng teapots. As a master craftsman central to the Mansheng style, Yang Pengnian worked within the prestigious Amantuo Studio, one of the finest literati kilns of the Qing dynasty. Complete authentic examples of this piece are extremely rare.
