This large Celestial Ball Vase, made during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, is a standard imperial kiln masterpiece. Its form is upright and symmetrical, featuring a straight neck, broad belly, and stable ring foot—the "Celestial Ball" shape symbolizing eternal peace. The rim is gilded, while the neck and base are decorated with underglaze blue Ruyi and lotus petal motifs. The cobalt blue pigment is rich and deep, with clear gradations in shading. The entire body is covered in a warm, lustrous white glaze over fine, dense porcelain, showcasing flawless craftsmanship. The vase features a continuous scene titled "Five Relationships," depicting phoenixes, cranes, mandarin ducks, partridges, and orioles amidst peonies, lotuses, and plum branches. The famille rose colors are vibrant yet soft, with delicate rendering of bird feathers and plant veins, blending courtly elegance with scholarly refinement. The title "Five Relationships" is inscribed in regular script alongside two red seal stamps, exhibiting graceful calligraphy. This theme embodies Confucian moral principles, offering both aesthetic beauty and educational value. Every aspect—pigments, painting, inscription, and decoration—meets the standards of the Qianlong imperial kiln. Preserved in excellent condition without chips or cracks, this is a premium famille rose piece combining cultural significance with high collectibility.
