Liangzhu Culture Jade Cong

This long-necked jade vase was crafted from an ancient jade cong, following the classic Liangzhu cong design. The exterior features the iconic deity-animal motif, with natural green and white mottled patina that has deeply penetrated the stone. The body is perfectly square and symmetrical, while the rim is smoothly rounded. Transforming an ancient jade cong into a display vase combines traditional jade heritage with later artistic ingenuity. The piece is free of chips or cracks, boasting an antique, warm patina—a premier collectible in the category of reworked ancient jade.
